  • Healthy Meats & Butter

Grass fed meats and healthy butter pack a greater nutritional punch (and are lacking "extras" like antibiotic/ pesticide residues) and taste great, to boot. Here are a couple fantastic, cost-effective sources. A freezer is highly recommended.
    • Pastured Butter:  Pastureland
Taste of this butter is truly "to die for!" Buy in bulk and freeze to minimize postage costs -- lasts 6-12 months, if frozen.
    • Grassfed meats, poultry, and fish: Slanker's Grassfed Meats
No need to pay crazy prices for healthy, pastured meats. Nourishing, tasty, nicely wrapped for freezing, right to your doorstep. Postage is inexpensive if you buy a few months' worth of meat at a time.
  • Eastern Massachusetts: Local Food

    For my clients in Massachusetts
    • Mainstone Farm in Wayland, MA
Grassfed local beef & lamb (plus more) at reasonable prices
    • Pete n' Jen's Backyard Birds in Concord, MA
Pastured eggs, healthy lard & chicken liver, and much more....
    • NOFA -- Healthy Local Food Sources in MA - A Listing
Check here to find organic or pastured local food sources
    • Debra's Natural Gourmet in West Concord, MA
A large, well-maintained store -- great products, great prices (less than Whole Foods in many cases!)
  • Miscellaneous Foods to buy Online

Best prices, best products -- buy in bulk to spread shipping costs
    • Stevia Powder -- NOW Brand
Find least expensive online source here. Excellent sweetener with very safe, long track record. Mixes well with many (but not all) foods. Great in iced tea, hot tea, lemonade and other foods. Non caloric.
    • High Quality Unrefined Organic Coconut Oil - Best Price Online
Use for cooking and for skin moisturizing - be sure to buy unrefined, virgin oil
    • Almond Flour - Best Price
For those individuals trying to cut back on grains...
    • Organic Almonds - Best Price
Not raw, but organic. For snacks -- or making your own almond flour (just don't grind too long or you'll have almond butter!)
    • Great price for RAW Organic Almonds from Europe
Truly raw organic almonds are now rare, due to recent legislation. Pasteurization destroys valuable enzymes and some nutrients. If you want truly raw almonds, you'll need to buy in bulk to get a reasonable price.
    • Really Raw Honey
Great brand. You may be able to find at Whole Foods, too.
  • Healthy Bread & Grains

Online sources of healthy brands (some of which are also available at local stores)
    • To Your Health: Sprouted Bread & Flour Co.
Excellent source of sprouted grain breads, crackers, and flour
    • Alvarado Street Bakery
Reasonably priced breads shipped fresh each Monday (and a store locator for local access)
